Sam lived in Japan for about six years before moved to New Zealand.
He worked in Yokohama, Japan for a leading used, and new vehicle importer in Japan, while he headed the Marketing Department. He managed the department extremely well and one of his markets he looked after New Zealand, and Australia. Sam is a known sales person for many New Zealand commercial vehicle dealers and car dealers as he gained their trust by providing quality vehicles. Certainly, used truck and other vehicles not as new but Sam gained the trust of many second-hand ruck. Machinery dealers in NEW Zealand and Australia, because he described conditions and vehicles as much as possible and Sam did not hide any known details but shared all details he got from Japan, Afte he moved to New Zealand he joined a AUCSAT New Zealand a company owned by Heiwa Auto Japan.
Heiwa Auto is a known name in Japan described and Sam soon became the trusted used vehicle suppliers for many truck importers in New Zealand. While working at Aucsat same would have supplied over 500 trucks to dealers in New Zealand.
Sam starts a virtual car importer business affiliated to Cusmode Holding Limited. Sam worked with Patric Pascoe of City Motors Nelson and wand introduce a virtual car dealer concept probably a concept for the first time in New Zealand. Virtual car dealer means Sam handpicked some cars from leading vehicle supplying companies to New Zealand, such as Heiwa Auto, Auto Portal, Enhance Auto and Michio, Sam provided vehicles and stocks in Japan or picked vehicle from Japanese auctions placed live bids. Before the bids are place and if the bidding price is competitive with the chances of winning is high Sam requested the dealer in Japan to physically check the car before the auction time and discussed, if any issues of the car and time increased or decreased the bidding fee.
Sam has a very high knowledge and skill in how the Japan auction process works and he also he has very good working relationship with a large number of Japanese car dealers. His ability to read and understand Japanese car auction sheet help further to discussed almost all details in a Japanese car auction sheet. Also, Sam has a good knowledge of Japanese car auction new work and he can guide details each auction.
To date the PM Auto and the virtual car dealer concept has helped so many in New Zealand we do not need a yard, we do not need test drive but we give a fully complied car to your door step.
We act honest and almost all the time we provide a copy of the original Japanese Auction sheet, with the details of the auction house such as USS Tokyo, USS Nagoya, TAA Kanto and date and the lot number of the car.
Importation from Japan to New Zealand, Australia
- Usually, cars and conditions are as described
- The importer will be first New Zealand registered owner, a huge selling benefit at the time selling the car.
- We will provide the actual copy of the Japanese Auction
- AA will certify the odometer is correct
- Car is free from any accident or odometer changed but as described
- We will not have warehouse, yard storage fee and any other overheads
- Very often cars are coming with additional tyres (usually snow tires)
- Cars are not modified but as described
- Compliance is a strict process in New Zealand but Sam`s over 15 years’ experience our team will guide you to import the right car
Almost all imported cars manufactured in Japan come with the standard Japanese navigation, Japanese maps and it will not work in New Zealand we may be able to help with replacing with a new NZ, Australian maps for an additional cost.
Most of cars manufactured in Europe and its navigation, MAPs will be able to use in New Zealand /Australian roads
Similar modes of new cars imported to New Zealand, Australia as brand new cars may not have same features of a car imported from Japan though the year , model is same. .
Importation process
01) We only deal with reliable Japanese car dealers, we mainly deal with Heiwa Auto Japan and its affiliated companies
02) PM Auto do not bid for accident cars but any cars graded in Japan with the auction grade 3.5 or above.
03) Client contacts us with details of the car wants to import direct from Japan
04) For all new client we ask client to undertake an acceptance of the car in the event if the client won the car at the action
05) OR we may ask 10% of the deposit of the car.
06) Also, client advise minimum and maximum budget of the car intends to import in NZD
07) PM Auto hand pick cars from Japanese car auctions or stocks held by Japanese car dealers.
08) We daily pick cars from Japanese auctions and email with the original copy of the Japanese auctions’ sheets.
09) If the client accepts, we then place bids and if the bid is competitive our Japanese dealer will physically check the condition of the car (not test drive)
10) To make the bid more successful we will provide historical data of a similar car sold price in Japan covering 100 of auctions
11) If the bid is successful, we will invoice you to pay the car cost car
12) Our agent in Japan will pay all auction charges on behalf of the importer and organize the car to their yard.
13) An internal inspection will be done at the yard of the dealer before an inspection report is sent with more pictures of the car usually about 10 or more
14) The mileage of the car will be certified by AA as well the odometer
15) Car will be booked for shipping and estimated arrival details will be provided.
16) A copy of the Bill of lading will be provided and we will send the same to the importer as the confirmation of the shipment
17) We will then send an invoice covering shipping and NZ Customs importation charges.
18) Car will deliver to our compliance centers in Noth or South Island (Unfortunately we do not have compliance centers in all main cities in New Zealand)
19) Car will be ready with the MR 2 , vin number and WOF for period of period of 6 months to 1 year.
20) Importer will pay the compliance charges usually about 350~ 400 dollars + any charges to fix any ailed compliances
21) Importer will pay registration fee for six month or one year. (Cost of registration fee
